I read today in the Daily Telegraph, that the tv bosses behind Australia’s Next Top Model have stood by their decision to put together and air a fur shoot, featuring the contestants. They said, “This is a series about modelling and fashion. Fur is very much on trend as as such we are reflecting that in the show”. I couldn’t agree more…

I have just read about Vegan fashion designer, Stacey Bendet, the woman behind the cult fashion label Alice and Olivia. Apparently, while she was at a party in NY she was asked, Why she chooses to wear fur when she’s a vegan. She replied, “Something about wearing fur just feels a little glamorous”. Go Stacey!!

Wow, I have just found out that Janet Jackson is the 2010 Blackglama Legend… I love this photo… She joins a long line of other famous legends who have started in the ads over the years……Judy Garland was the first Legend in 1968 and since then the other Legends have included Marlene Dietrich, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Lauren McCall and most recently Naomi Campbell.

Naomi Campbell was spotted at a Mobil Petrol station in New York’s meatpacking district yesterday taking part in Dennis Basso’s autumn/winter 2010 campaign. She is picture below wearing a three quarter length sable gilet….Wow!! I can’t wait for the winter!!!

The ad campaign will break in the September fashion issues.. which hit the newsstands in August…

Emma Watson, Harry Potter star and Burberry model has recently starred in her boyfriend’s new hit music video, Say you don’t want it’. The video was shot in New York and the song has a 80’s strong eighties vibe and sounds a bit like New Order… In the video Emma wears a really cute short mink jacket!

Statehood day in Slovenia

I love Acapella by Kelis..it is such a great summer tune..I heard recently that she considering to quitting the music industry to become a chef..I’m glad she didn’t!

Have you read the latest on Kelis? I saw this article today in USATODAY about her supporting wearing fur. She said that she will continue to wear fur and eat meat, “every day, absolutely”. You go girl!!
